Taste: Surprising Stories and Science About Why Food Tastes Good - sometimes listed as Taste What You're Missing: The Passionate Eater's Guide to Why Good Food Tastes Good, this book is an accessible introduction to the many facets of taste and eating. Though it does not appear to be updated regularly, some of the resources on author Barb Stuckey's site may also be of interest.
The Flavor Connection - a fascinating map showing what foods have chemical compounds in common with other foods. A useful resource for dreaming up food pairings that are unexpectedly complementary. Be sure to read the instructions to get full use out of the diagram.
In the Kitchen: other perspectives on food for cancer patients.
Cook for Your Life - this site is geared toward the kitchen novice, with an encyclopedia of individual ingredients, suggested preparation techniques and recipes for each ingredient, and instructional videos for some basic kitchen tasks. It also has an extensive recipe collection which can be searched by health consideration: bland, neutropenic, nausea, high/low calorie, etc.
Pureed Pzazz - written by a lady who suffered from pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, this blog shares some of her personal experiences and tips as well as an extensive collection of pureed recipes that are easy on the digestive tract and stomach while incorporating almost any fruit or vegetable you could think of.
