Welcome to Chemo Cuisine! Whether you are a patient, caregiver, friend, or family member, chemotherapy is a scary thing to face. In times that try the body and the spirit, even the simple comfort of sitting down to a meal with family or friends may become complicated and stressful.  It is a challenge to find ways to make food that tastes good, as chemotherapy affects your mouth, your tongue, and your entire digestive system.  On top of that, recipes must be easy enough to complete with limited energy or store well so that they can be prepared ahead on your more energetic days.  I hope that the information here - gathered from my own experiences, fellow patients, and various caregivers - will help you navigate one of the world's most peculiar cuisines!

I'm always on the lookout for chemo-friendly foods.  Browse the collection for recipes that:

  • require little energy to prepare

  • store well

  • are neutropenia-friendly

  • include a variety of nutrients, and

  • tickle chemo-numbed taste buds!
